Timing solution for
Cross-Country Skiing
The RACE RESULT technology is ideal for reliable and precise timing of cross-country skiing races. The active transponders provide a 100% detection rate and an accuracy of 0.004 seconds, even in extreme outdoor temperatures. With Ubidium, we have developed a timing system that reliably delivers live data from the course under challenging winter conditions.
Setup
Participants wear an Active V3 Transponder on their ankle, and if necessary, two transponders per participant for even more accurate finish times.
At the start and finish lines, as well as at intermediate points, a Ubidium timing system is set up. The loop cable for transponder detection is buried in the snow. All times are transmitted live to the timing software via Wi-Fi, SIM, or Ethernet.
Optionally, the small standalone Loop Box can capture additional data in the stadium and wirelessly relay this data to Ubidium (up to 500 m range).
The RACE RESULT 12 software offers various features for dynamic display of start lists, individual start countdowns, live intermediate times, result lists, and more.
