The RACE RESULT Active Transponders got muddy all year at the famous Toughest Mudder and World’s Toughest Mudder events in the US, timed by Trinity Timing. Last weekend the grand finale World’s Toughest Mudder took place at Bouckaert Farms in Atlanta, GA. The world’s best obstacle racers (both individual and teams) competed at the World’s Toughest Mudder – the most extreme 24-hour obstacle course challenge on the planet. Racers competed on a 5-mile obstacle course with over 20 legendary Tough Mudder obstacles and did as many laps as possible within the 24-hour period. The timing setup at the race was quite extensive with multiple splits along the course between obstacles and a variety of active decoders, loop boxes and track boxes used for live timing and tracking of all athletes. Top honors for the individuals went to Trevor Cichosz and Morgan McKay, who put in an impressive 105 and 80 miles respectively. The winners in the 2-person and 4-person team categories were Muddy Canucks (105 miles) and Germany’s Toughest Mudders (85 miles). Overall, the event this weekend had 937 mudders and produced over 56224 chip reads. “That was our longest duration race ever with the race|result hardware and a new record for number of active chip reads in a single event for us, and we’re happy with the results”, says Trinity Timing. “The combination of Decoders, Loop Boxes and Track Boxes along the course allowed for balanced approach of all the active system hardware, providing us with great data collection for over 24 hours.”
